Golfing Beside Casino of the Rockies

Casino of the Rockies and a championship golf course share the same resort grounds on Mission Road, outside Cranbrook. This page covers the golf side of the day: the course, its season, and where to find food and cash during a round.

The design

A Les Furber design

Les Furber designed the resort's championship golf course. It came first: the course opened in 2000, the casino in 2002 and the hotel in 2003. A round, meaning one full game of golf, can end with an evening at the casino on the same grounds.

Of the hotel's 125 rooms and suites, 25 sit in the Mission building, and guests get views of the mountains, the Hoodoos and the golf course. Numa Lounge & Dining, the resort's restaurant inside the Mission building, overlooks Fisher Peak and the course, and it serves breakfast daily from 7 am to 11 am.

Season

April through October

April through October is the season for the golf course and the RV park. The course shuts from November to March. The resort and the casino operate year-round, as does the hotel's outdoor heated pool.

Questions about tee times, the booked start times for a round, go to the resort at 1-866-292-2020. Cranbrook Casino Scorecard is a guide, not the resort. It books no tee times or rooms and takes no bets.

On the course

Food and cash during a round

Two places serve food on the golf side in season. The Snack Shack on the course is open every day from 10:30 am to 5 pm. The 19th Hole is the golf clubhouse bar and grill. It opens Wednesday to Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm, and Monday and Tuesday from noon to 7 pm. Both sets of hours may change with the weather and with tee time demand.

Cash is close at hand in the golf Pro Shop, which has an ATM. Two more ATMs are in the casino main lobby and the hotel main lobby. The golf-side hours apply only in season, from April through October.
