Casino of the Rockies After Dark

Casino of the Rockies keeps the same weekly schedule in every month of the year. Pick a day, and the scorecard below shows what is open at each hour of it.

Hours

When the doors open and close

Casino of the Rockies welcomes guests from 11 am, seven days a week. Sunday through Thursday, the gaming floor shuts at 11 pm. Closing on Friday and Saturday moves two hours later, to 1 am. That pattern does not shift with the seasons, so it also applies from November to March, when the golf course is closed.

Cranbrook stays on Mountain time year-round, matching Alberta's clock, so it is one hour ahead of the clocks in most of British Columbia. Holiday hours are not posted separately. Confirm them at casinooftherockies.ca when planning an evening out on a holiday.

    The floor

    What the floor holds

Casino of the Rockies has no live table games. Its floor holds 210 slot machines. Among them are E-Roulette, E-Baccarat and E-Blackjack, known as electronic tables. Each is a table game played on a machine with a screen, rather than at a live table. Quartz terminals run up to eight games each, so one seat offers several choices.

The casino restaurant houses the PROLINE Sportsbook Lounge. A sportsbook is where people bet on sports results. Up to six games can appear at once on its 18-foot screen, so several play side by side. Bets are placed through three PROLINE terminals.

Beyond the slots, the casino has a pool table and a full-service lottery centre.

    Inside

    What applies inside

    • Entry starts at age 19, with government-issued photo ID shown at each visit; a second piece of ID can be requested as well.
    • Proper attire is required, which includes a shirt and shoes.
    • Food and drinks from outside stay out, and a drink bought on the gaming floor stays there instead of going into the lobby.
    • For smokers there is a pit inside the casino, plus marked spots outdoors around the resort.
    • Encore Rewards, BCLC's card for BC casinos, is free at Guest Services.

    FAQ

    Quick answers

    1Can a 19th birthday be celebrated inside?
Yes, as long as the guest is 19 or older, the entry age set by Casino of the Rockies near Cranbrook. Government-issued photo ID is checked at the door on every trip, not only the first one. A guest who is still 18 will be turned away.
2Is there a screen for watching sports?
Inside the casino restaurant, the PROLINE Sportsbook Lounge features an 18-foot screen able to carry as many as six games simultaneously, with wagers placed through three PROLINE terminals.
3What happens to a drink at the lobby door?
The drink stays on the gaming floor. Alcohol does not go into the lobby, so it is finished or left inside before stepping out.
4Is the casino open on a Monday?
Yes, on Monday the casino is open 11 am to 11 pm, the same as every Sunday to Thursday. Holiday hours are not listed on their own, so confirm at casinooftherockies.ca ahead of a holiday Monday.
