One day

Casino of the Rockies Day Planner

A round of golf and an evening at the casino fit into one day at the resort outside Cranbrook. The planner below lays the day out from breakfast to the casino's closing time.

Morning

Breakfast and a morning round

Mornings at St. Eugene suit golf best. Numa Lounge & Dining, the resort's restaurant inside the Mission building, puts out breakfast daily between 7 am and 11 am. The casino keeps its doors closed until 11 am on all seven days.

A round is one full game over the course, start to finish. It begins at a tee time, the set start time of a round. The guide does not book tee times. How long a round takes is each golfer's own estimate: the guide has no figure for it. Golfers who finish before 11 am will find the casino doors still closed.

In golf season, April through October, the 19th Hole, the golf clubhouse bar and grill, opens Wednesday to Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm. On Monday and Tuesday it opens from noon to 7 pm. The Snack Shack on the course is open every day from 10:30 am to 5 pm. Both sets of hours may change with the weather and with tee time demand.

    Evening

    Dinner and the casino floor

Numa offers dinner from Wednesday to Sunday, between 5 pm and 9:30 pm. The casino's own restaurant and bar is Kiʔsuʔk k̓ikiⱡ, a Ktunaxa name for "good food", on a raised level overlooking the gaming floor. Its kitchen opens daily at 11 am, and on Friday and Saturday nights it stops cooking at 11 pm. The Scorecard desk suggests that anyone wanting a table later than 10 pm on a Sunday to Thursday evening call 250-417-2772 first.

Closing time is 11 pm from Sunday through Thursday and 1 am after Friday and Saturday. For a holiday, the casino's own site, casinooftherockies.ca, has the word. Shirts and shoes are part of the proper attire the casino asks for. Overnight guests hand back the room by 11 am the next morning.
